Lucky in Love? Well, are you?
It’s a time of luck and wealth…or not. With each romance we find ourselves in a new world of love and memories. Are these just by chance? Is it
luck?
Welcome to your second annual Lucky in Love Blog Hop where we want to hear about your love, your romance, and how much you love St. Patrick’s Day!!! Are you wearing green? Ready to get pinched…or wait…do you like that? For the Blog Hop List you can go here : http://carrieannbloghops.blogspot.com/p/lucky-in-love-hop.html
Seawitch here: So are you lucky in love or do you feel like Adam Saddler in The Wedding Singer and Love Stinks! you can go here to watch the You-Tube video, it’s my favorite. http://youtu.be/3s5xsVHOJQs
I’ve been in both places.
Here is what up for grabs from Carrie Ann.
1st Grand Prize: A $100 Amazon or B&N Gift Card
2nd Grand Prize: A Swag Pack that contains paperbacks, ebooks, 50+ bookmarks, cover flats, magnets, pens, coffee cozies, and more!
The swag pack is limited to US only due to postage, sorry but the GC is open to international.
Here’s the rules for today, tell me about some luck you have had and leave your email for Carrie Ann’s grand prize drawing.
My drawing is for a new to me author, Kristen Higgins and her newest book The Best Man.
SOMETIMES THE BEST MAN IS THE ONE YOU LEAST EXPECT…
Faith Holland left her hometown after being jilted at the altar. Now a little older and wiser, she’s ready to return to the Blue Heron Winery, her family’s vineyard, to confront the ghosts of her past, and maybe enjoy a glass of red. After all, there’s some great scenery there….
Like Levi Cooper, the local police chief—and best friend of her former fiancé. There’s a lot about Levi that Faith never noticed, and it’s not just those deep green eyes. The only catch is she’s having a hard time forgetting that he helped ruin her wedding all those years ago. If she can find a minute amidst all her family drama to stop and smell the rosé, she just might find a reason to stay at Blue Heron, and finish that walk down the aisle.
Click here to read an excerpt.
So don’t forget here are today’s rules for this hop.
Tell me about some luck you have had

My friend had an antique shop in an historic town we were visiting for the first time (little did we know we would end up moving there almost 20 years later). She had a lovely wash bowl and pitcher set in the window that would match our bedroom set perfectly. She had a price on it, but said she didn’t want to sell it. Shortly thereafter, a young lady came in and asked to buy it. My friend agreed and the woman said she would be back later to buy it. After she left, I told my friend if she was going to sell it to a stranger she could sell it to me, and she did.
She had picked up this set when they were stationed in England with the Air Force. The town was having a large festival and there were many out of town dealers. After I bought the set, she and I walked around seeing what the dealers had. Within about 15 minutes, I found a dresser set that matched the wash bowl and pitcher set perfectly – same pattern and maker. I of course bought it. About an hour after we got back to the shop, a man came in with a shoebox. Inside he had two candle holders that matched the set. He had noticed the washbowl set in the window and wanted to know if she was interested in buying them. I did.
My friend said she had had the set for over twenty years and had been looking all that time for pieces to match it and had never been able to find anything. Within two hours of my getting it, we found all those other pieces. She figures it was a sign I was meant to have the set.
Definitely my lucky day. librarypat AT comcast DOT net

My biggest luck was when I found a lypoma (fatty tumor) in my breast. The doctor said to ignore it because it was nothing. Not me! I insisted that he remove it. Underneath the lypoma was a tiny breast cyst that turned out to be malignant. Had I ignored that, I wouldn’t be here today. My doctor said it was serendipitous that I pushed to get it removed. That was 19 years ago and I consider myself to be very lucky. I had a boss who told me that he hired me because I was a pushy broad and got things done. I guess being pushy sometimes really pays off!

I think sometimes we help make our own luck. You can’t win if you don’t enter. You can’t succeed if you don’t try. That kind of thing. But I definitely believe in luck too. For my 15th wedding anniversary I entered a contest on the radio and won a 4day/5night all expense paid trip to Paradise Island in the Bahamas. I had never flown before…never been to the beach…never left the country. It was a fabulous time. Been married 39 years now. I consider it being blessed more than being lucky.

Throughout the years I’ve been lucky to win a handmade kingsize quilt and books. Everything else I’ve had to work like a dog for. And I still know that I’ve had it better than others and am thankful for that.

My husband & I had worked for the same company & knew each other enough to say hi, but that is it. Then, one day a mutual friend introduced us at a happy hour (nothing happened!) The following day, guess who showed up at my gym & ended up on the bike next to me. Turns out we both rented apartments in the same town. Lucky for me, the rest is history (22 years later!) And he’s Irish, too!

Hmm, I can’t think of too many things that have happened lately that would count as lucky. Of course there is family as I’m always lucky to have them!! I suppose another lucky thing would be that because of stumbling upon this blog hop, I was lucky enough to find new books and authors to read and finding new things like that is always the best!

I’ve been very lucky in love! I asked my best friend to help me meet a guy back when I was 16 and visiting her. She introduced me to her boyfriend’s roommate and we fell instantly into lust. 16 years later, it’s love for all of us-they got married too! Thanks for the contest!

What a great giveaway hop! I have yet to be lucky in love but I’m working on it. My favorite love book is “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon. Jamie Fraser is amazing and beautiful. I enjoy St. Patty’s Day and this year I’m spending it with my best friend. We’re going to two Irish Pubs and also some dance clubs. I am also wearing green and am not a fan of getting pinched. I’m not Irish either, but many people think I am because my hair is red, my eyes green and my name is Meghan, but I’m not at all. I won’t be telling anybody that, however… let them believe I’m Irish.
Thanks for the giveaway!
